A deaf woman was forced to sit on the floor of a train with her hearing assistance dog - despite requesting disability help when she booked her ticket.
Lisa Baldock says she was left "stranded" after boarding the three-hour CrossCountry service and being unable to find a seat with enough room for herself and her beloved helping hound Inca.
Despite requesting special assistance when she booked her ticket, she claims the train guard "just wouldn't listen". Lisa, who said she was "disgusted" by the experience on Monday, posted a video on Facebook in the hope of raising awareness of the hurdles facing deaf people on public transport.
Lisa was forced to sit on the floor with her dog Inca. In the clip, watched more than 2,000 times, she says: "So here I am on a train stuck on the floor with Inca because there is just nowhere for us to sit. Tried talking to the guard, tried being reasonable but they just wouldn’t listen.
